THE INTERVIEW

Hi Aldo, thanks for accepting to do this interview.

Ok, you're welcome

Why did you audition for this production? What triggered your interest?

First of all it's been such a long time since Lemonhead produced a theatre production so I was looking forward to work with all of you again. Besides there is the theme of the play… It features the perennial fight between good and evil…Something fascinating to the disturbed mind…And who is not disturbed in a way or another is not alive yet.

Was it easy to decide which character you wanted to audition for? How did you prefer yourself for the audition?

It took me sometime to decide which character I really love of them all. Besides it took me a while too to decide whether I want to audition for an easy or a challenging role. I was prepared but it's not easy to know what those behind the desk (you know who I am speaking of J ) want from the chosen character. Besides that, during an audition I never ménage to perform my 100%...

What was your first reaction when Bryan asked you to play the part of Wagner?

I opened the script to see more about this Wagner… Then I felt challenged at giving my utmost, despite the fatal end (death) of the character which is the second time I am going to die in a laboratory in a Lemonhead Production…

How did you find the script? What did you like about it?

It kept me interested while reading in fact I read it all at once. I'm sure the concise sentences will grip the audience…

You have worked under Bryan 's direction for five years now. How do you find his methods?

Bryan 's direction is Avant-garde and meticulous and that is very positive… Most of the times you know where you are with him because he really directs not sits and watch without killing one's creativity… Usually rehearsals are very pleasant (with a joke there and then)…until production week where sometimes Bryan gets furious for no reason at all except that it is production week J …

What's your best memory in a lemonhead production?

I guess it's Bar Macbeth … It was my first performance with Lemonhead so it will always bring beautiful memories…although I had a big accident with my car during this time too…

There are a few new faces within the Faustus group that you've never worked with before, how does it make you feel?

I like the idea because I met some great people through theatre. Some people are still very good friends of mine till this day even though we performed together quite a long time ago. It is great to work with a myriad of talents and networking in drama is essential

What was your feeling after the first cast meeting?

I was quite happy with the choice of the cast. The reading of the script together challenged and focused me on writing the character profile since then. Besides I got to know Roger Waters is touring.

Did you start working on the character profile? If yes, how are you finding it? If no, how do you plan to go about it?

Yes. I already sent my first version of the profile a few days ago…

Thanks a lot for your time.
