Amen

Humans err. However, you find those who heavily marks his mistakes by a bold red cross and start all over again; and you find those who are oblivious, they keep on going, and often keep doing the same mistake over and over again. Then there are those who genuinely are not aware they're in the wrong, and when they find out, they redeem themselves and try hard not to fall into the same trap again.

The characters we find in AMEN, aired in October 2009 on One TV, are all trying hard to redeem themselves from past mistakes that are now haunting their present lives.

Ella (Marilyn Zammit), a 19 year old university student, is possessed by the devil. Fr. Francis (Godwin Scerri), an excorcist, is taking care of Ella's case. Fr. Francis can;t answer all the questions presented by Ella, especially the ones regarding the Why the devil chose her question.

Somehow Fr. Francis is also involved in the relationship between Clint (John Peel), his wife Gaby (Gertrude Borg Marks) and the photographer David (Simon Xuereb). They're all trying to suppress an episode from their past that still torments them to this very day.

CID Inspectors Raphael (Bryan Muscat) and Tracy (Koren Scicluna), are investigation a horrific crime involving a serial killer; the first of its kind in Malta. The series of macabre homicides are terrifying the nation, where all the victims have been pregnant. Somehow Neville (Mark Doneo), a drug addict, seems to be involved. His excruciating pain in his left hand can only be eased by doing a mysteries phone call.

Lisa (Louise Doneo) is the leader of a modest prayer group. She's a healer, however tries not to excercise her special powers. On the other hand, her brother Noah (Neville Refalo) encourages her to use it to heal as many as possible and to enlarge the prayer group as much as possible.

At the background of all this, an old legen is unfolding. A number of archangels who roam our Earth, have a mission to accomplish, to help tilt the balance in GOOD's favour.

AMEN is based on an idea by Bryan Muscat. Written by Noel Tanti, Mark Doneo is the Executive producer. Bryan Muscat directed and produced the series.
